i read an article about a 1989 watchtower that stated the preaching work would be completed in our 20th century, but was revised in the bound volume to say "in our day".

i told my brother this and he said, "if it's on the net about jw's it's a lie".

i want to prove to him it was a fact.

The quote is from the 1-1-89 Wt mag on page 12. The WT 99 CD ROM also says ...."a work that would be completed in our day".

I could probably give you a lie every day for a month (at least). The main lie, however, is regarding the WTs identity of Jesus Christ. Jesus said, "Unless you believe that I Am, you will die in your sins". John 8:24 "I Am" occurs in Exodus 3:14 when Moses asked God what his name was.

Was Judas Worthy to Partake?

the wt, 2-1-02 says on p. 15, that only after judas was gone did jesus institute the memorial of his death.

after researching all 4 gospel accounts, this is simply not true.

luke 22:21 makes it very clear that judas was, in fact, present and active in partaking of the bread and wine.

Moxy, If you read the whole account in Luke 22:14-23, it seems obvious that Judas was there for the "special bread and wine". Don't you think?

The courtyard and the holy city in Rev 11

No, the courtyard is not the same as the holy city. In the OT, the courtyard was an area where the gentiles were permitted to go, but no further into the temple itself. The temple was for the Jews. The book of Revelation is a time when God will again focus on the Jewish nation to fulfill all His promises to them. The temple spoken about in chapter 11 is a real, earthly temple. Remember, the antichrist needs to stand in the temple and declare himself God. This coutyard will be part of the rebuilt temple in Jerusalem during the tribulation period.

Luke 22:21 makes it very clear that Judas was, in fact, present and active in partaking of the bread and wine. Why does the WT only let "worthy ones" partake when Jesus allowed even his traitor that privilege? The WT knows nothing of God's grace, only law. Sad!
